Two Months until Race Day!

Our Race Series: FUN|RUNch Style

We are already into the middle of March, which means we are exactly two months away from our Mother’s Day FUN|RUNch!

If you missed our first newsletter or want to read it again, here is the link!

We gave you a preview of the race in the last newsletter, but to recap, here is what FUN|RUNch is all about:

Our Mother’s Day rendition of the race will be the first of a series of different themed races that will hopefully bring the whole family together for a party centered on running. We still have spots open, so if you’re interested in learning more and want to sign up, check out the link below!

In-Stadium Announcing at NCAA Indoor

Speaking of fun races, I wanted to share more about an exciting running-related event that I attended this past week…

I spent March 8-9 in Boston, where I was lucky enough to work alongside Mike Jay (The Track Guy) and David Lile as an In-Stadium Announcer at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships!

It felt both strange and deeply familiar to be back in Boston after so many years, the same city where I won my first ever USATF National Title (3k, 2007) and where a decade ago I doubled to win the USATF Indoor Mile / 3K (2014)! Lots of memories in that runner-loving city!

This trip to Boston, it was my turn to cheer on the college stars that are the future of our sport! There were many highlights, but topping the list would have to be announcing Parker Valby as she broke the Collegiate 5K Record (again) and then came back to win the 3K (and set a meet record) with a long push from 1K out! (Impressive!) Plus the Women’s DMR, where BYU’s Riley Chamberlain ran a smart tactical race to deliver a killer finish and a win for the team! (Drama!)

Being in stadium again reminded me just how much I love racing and it made me super excited for our Mother’s Day 5K FUN|RUNch on May 12!

If my stories about racing make you itch to get back out there, we have something else in store for all you avid runners.
